2011 NACE Conference in Reno

Well we just returned from a great conference in Reno for the National Association of Catering Executives also known as NACE. I am a big believer of education and learning new things, you have to in order to stay ahead in this business. I was able to take some wonderful classes that taught me a lot. NACE can also throw a pretty good party as well! Fearon May Events is also very happy to announce that we are now a National Award winner for our Urban Cowboy table top design. I was so honored and thrilled to be chosen to win this award, especially since I was up against some amazing tables. We were also very happy that Cheryl Sage from Accents by Sage who designed the floral for the table was there to except the award with me.
This is a picture of the award winning URBAN COWBOY table that I designed for

Our first speaker was Chef Jeff Henderson with “From the Streets to the Stove: The Power of Change.” He was a great motivational speaker with a very touching story. Look for the movie based on his life to come out in the next couple of years, Will Smith just bought the rights to his story and is making a movie.

In Case you haven’t seen these before on shows like Platinum Weddings this is a strolling table. They are pretty amazing and fun for your guests. They released two NEW ones though that were pretty impressive. They defiantly made me say WOW! To find out more information go to
This is the champagne dress. Imagine her walking out with poured champagne for your guests to grab.  Pretty spectacular. Now imagine walking a red carpet that was actually a really long red dress and when you walk down it this gorgeous model is standing there greeting your guests. Oh so cool!
We also found these really cool light up bars that are very easy to move around and fold up for space. They can be custom designed with the bride and grooms pictures, company logo, design or theme.

I also have to share with you the best entertainment I have seen in a long time. These guys rocked the house. It was such high energy that we couldn’t stop dancing. Not to mention that these guys are really nice guys. I can’t wait to do a wedding with them soon. They take good music that a DJ would play and mix it with a drummer and a horn player and create their own intense music. It perfect for the couple who want that band but want to hear the most current music on the radio. You get the best of both worlds with these guys. Please watch their video and see how they can change your wedding or next event.

I also have to show you this amazing wall that Blue Print Studio’s in the bay area made. It is so simple yet so amazing. I love these giant vine knots with the simple hints of green. It was so cool.
