We were so lucky to be the planner for Amy Carabba’s Southern Wedding, which took place at The General’s Daughter in Sonoma. We met Amy years ago the first time we were featured on Good Day Sacramento. Over the years, we have built a friendship, and we were grateful she choose us for this special day. Amy and Pablo loved New Orleans and wanted to do a Southern-themed wedding. Of course the General’s daughter was the perfect location with the wrap around porch and southern charm. As guests arrived, they were greeted by a hutch with homemade bow ties that the bride made herself. The ceremony was lined with lanterns, flowers, and candles with a surprise officiant, Mark S. Allen! An adorable vintage lounge set was provided by Roots Reclaimed for guests to enjoy sweet tea and Mint Juleps during cocktail hour. A brass band played music as guests paraded around waving napkins and dancing to traditional New Orleans tunes. Mini Beignets were served in Cafe Du Monde hats and a full S’Mores station with flavored marshmallows and dipping sauces. As guests left, they were treated to gold sprayed pineapples, a New Orleans traditional thank you gift. The evening ended with the groom surprising the bride with a bike for two where they road off as husband and wife.
